Dr. Allyson Bond
Allyson Bond, DVM, MBA
Managing Doctor

Dr. Bond is an Ohio native, growing up in Medina before moving to Columbus for college. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as her doctorate of veterinary medicine at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2015 from veterinary school. Dr. Bond has a passion for orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and client communication.

Outside of work, you may find Dr. Bond tasting new food at local Columbus restaurants, spending time with her friends and family, or checking off travel destinations from her never-ending bucket list.

She currently resides in Hilliard, Ohio with her husband, children and dog.

Dr. Robin Diers
Robin Diers, DVM
Associate Doctor

Dr. Diers joined Suburban in July of 2021. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and spent several years in a rural practice before moving to Columbus.

Dr. Dier’s veterinary interests include feline medicine, preventative care, and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and baking. She and her mom spend an entire day each year baking many cookies for the holidays, including some interesting recipes.

Dr. Diers and her husband are owned by 2 cats, Simon and Dude.

Tracy Burkholder
Tracy Burkholder, DVM

Dr. Tracy Burkholder, born and raised in Central Ohio, has had a life long dream of becoming a veterinarian. At a very young age, Dr. Burkholder began reading books about animals and even dressed up as a zookeeper for Halloween when she was only 8 years old. Dr. Burkholder has always had a deep passion for serving her community and is excited to be able to serve the Columbus area animal lovers!

Graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 was a dream come true for Dr. Burkholder. She is beyond excited to be able to combine her two passions of serving her community and caring for animals in her favorite city, Columbus! In addition to keeping your pet healthy and happy, Dr. Burkholder has a strong interest in behavioral medicine, internal medicine, and surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Burkholder loves to bake yummy treats, try new restaurants, and go on adventures! She is often accompanied by her husband, and their adorable fur baby, Cole!

Mackenzie, RVT
Mackenzie has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 3 years following her graduation from Columbus State’s Veterinary Technology program in 2020. She prides herself in ensuring that all visits are stress-free for pets. She can be found snuggling with or watching Paw Patrol with patients recovering from surgery. She once carried a kitty around in a papoose all afternoon to keep him warm and calm.

When not at work, you can find Mackenzie running, hiking, reading, watching TikToks and studying cryptozoology. At home, she spends time with her Rottweiler Zena.

Briyona
Briyona, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician

Bri graduated from Bradford Veterinary Technician Institute and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 10 years. She most enjoys making a difference in someone’s life. Bri understands that we never know other’s story or what they are going through, so she always provides compassionate care while practicing with love and patience… and always with a smile.

At home, Bri enjoys spending time with family and watching movies. She also loves photography and says, “People and memories fade away, but pictures are forever.”

Her crew at home includes her Rottweiler Jewels and two black kitties, Miracle and Simba.

Valerie
Valerie, RVT
Practice Manager, Registered Veterinary Technician

Valerie graduated from Denison University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Sociology. She began her journey in veterinary medicine in 2005 and subsequently received her Veterinary Technology degree from Penn Foster College. Her passions are practicing Fear Free medicine, anesthesia, surgery, and client education.

Outside of work, Valerie is an avid soccer fan. She follows Chelsea FC and is a Columbus Crew season ticket holder. Other interests include seeing live music and playing darts.

At home, she and her husband spend time cuddling their two tuxedo cats, Basil and Barley.

Darren
Darren, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Darren graduated from the Bradford Veterinary Technician Institute in 2018. He prides himself in providing top quality care to pets and enjoys providing the client education pet parents need to succeed in keeping their pets happy and healthy.

Outside of work, you can find Darren gardening, crafting, DIY around the house and playing with bugs.

His four-legged family includes Brooklyn, a fawn Doberman and Beckett, a Great Dane.

Madison
Madison, Veterinary Assistant

Madison moved to Columbus from Akron to attend The Ohio State University. She is majoring in Animal Science with the future goal of attending veterinary school in 2025. Her interests are in agriculture and livestock animals and she hopes to one day treat dairy cattle and chicken.

In Madison’s free time, she enjoys working out, reading, puzzles and art. She shares her home with the sweetest Bully Mix Georgia Peach who is almost 1-year old.

Haley, Veterinary Assistant
Haley has been a veterinary assistant for nine years. She is currently studying to become a registered technician at Penn Foster College. She prides herself in practicing a high standard of care and treating every pet like they are her own. She also practices fear-free care and is great with anxious pets.

Outside of work she and her husband enjoy traveling, camping, and hiking. They also love live music and supporting local breweries. Her two Coonhound Mixes, Boo and Sage tag along as much as they can. At home, Haley also has the coolest cats, Remi and Gomez Cattams.

Kim
Kim, Veterinary Assistant
Kim joined Suburban Animal Clinic in 2023 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has 23 years of veterinary experience including emergency, lab animal medicine, and general practice. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program to earn her degree as a veterinary technician.

Kim is an Ohio native and was raised on a horse farm riding jumpers and quarter horses. She is active in dog sports including agility, dock diving, rally, and scent work with the best dog ever, Flower. She and Flower are involved with Incredipaws and Columbus All Breeds.

Kim has three grown children, including a son in the Navy, and 4 granddaughters.

Cortnie
Cortnie, Veterinary Assistant and Client Service Representative
Cortnie is attending The Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree and will apply for Veterinary school once completed. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for two years. Cortnie loves being in a position where she can seek knowledge and learn new skills every day.

In her free time, Cortnie enjoys playing the piano, baking and traveling the world. She has two dogs at home, Tetsu (a Husky) and Luna (a Yorkie).

Sabrina, Client Service Representative

Sabrina is new to veterinary medicine but is a natural. She takes pride in her abilities to help people and their pets, educating clients, and providing support as needed to both her teammates and clients.

In her free time, Sabrina enjoys drawing, reading, and playing Sims. Her kitty, Sythe is a 10-year old grey tabby.

Justin, Client Service Representative
Justin graduated from The Ohio State University in 2022 with a degree in Psychology. At work, he takes pride in being efficient and proficient. He enjoys streamlining processes.

Justin’s hobbies include playing the guitar, drums, and synthesizer. He also enjoys working with computers and new technology. He is constantly exploring new and obscure music and enjoys fashion.

Justin’s feline companion is a beautiful Calico named Tobin.
